William Irvine's Letter to Edwards' and Company
March 3, 1940

My dear Edwards' and Co.:

Thanks for yours and others; some wise and some foolish. Five wise and five foolish is becoming very plain. The Man and Message was given to those who had no other hope-- the virgins, no matter what their condition was on hearing the Message; but they are to put on the Wedding garments of His nature - feel, think, see and say or bear His witness by the Spirit--they are the wise. The foolish will allow their own thoughts and ways to guide in understanding of the Message, and so their lamps will be going out, just as the wise will be trimming their lamps and getting clearer light through life from God.

Matthew 22:1-14, "Many are called, few chosen," and the choosing is by whether they have put on the wedding garment--His nature, mind, words and Spirit or the Lamb nature--or continue in their own thoughts and ways in their use of Man and Message.

Isaiah 55:6 and 7 is for these days, for the Lord will not always keep the door open or be near to help through a True Servant with His Spirit as we see in the Edwards'. It's very easy to see the change in those who have given ear and heart to their ministry, in contrast to others who have despised it and rejected it for many years, and encouraged others to do the same. Isaiah 55:8-13 needs careful reading, for our own thoughts and ways can only produce thorns and briers as we have seen in many sad examples, while those who have had ears for the Lord's help through the Edwards' are like the fir and myrtle trees well rooted and grown.

So value very highly the help the Lord chooses to give through His servants. John's ministry will not begin till the 2nd Woe, and end at its finish, as you can see from Rev.9:12-21 and in Rev.11. So better to err on the Lord's side no matter what it may mean in zealous repentance and humiliation. Satan works through our own thoughts and ways, as the Lord works by His own thoughts and ways, revealed by the Spirit through those He can honor.

My dear Edwards and Co:

Thanks for yours and many others. I hope you and company did not get wet at Sacramento.

Romans 1:18 speaks about holding the truth in unrighteousness.  2 Thess. 2:10 speaks about all deceivableness of unrighteousness, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  Unrighteousness refers to whether the Spirit of Christ is in us to control and guide us into all truth.  “I am the Way, the Truth and Life."  All knowledge of the truth, without being truly born of God, can only lead to destruction and wrath.

You notice some were putting their own construction on what Paul had said about Jesus coming, and you notice what some were saying Paul had said or written, and so Paul shows these delusions come from people who try to hold the Truth but have not His nature - and so the delusions and misreading.  If people have not received the love of the Truth, which alone can unite and cause people all to see as He sees, then their human will lead to delusions and strife.

The mystery of Iniquity is just humans trying to know the truth, or eat of the Tree of Knowledge which the Devil by the Serpent seed makes people believe will bring them life. Adam’s second experience was in hearing the Voice of the Lord God, and obeying it and being clothed with coats of skin.  We can't have sheep’s wool skin without His Lamb nature.  Fig leaf garments is but the outward righteousness of keeping the Law, and all else, as did the Scribes and Pharisees who crucified the Lamb of God.  The Devil and Co. have power over all unregenerate seed, and makes them see to suit their human nature, called iniquity, or the mystery of Iniquity; producing the works of the flesh, in part or whole, as in Gal. 5.

The Lamb nature produces the fruit of the Spirit.  The Devil is always the keeper of the Tree of Life with flaming sword turning every way.  No matter what the Abel seed do, the Cain seed will fight against it.  So the man who has the nature and seed of God will always be the sufferer.

P.S.  This love is positive, the imitation is human, with all the flesh marks, and appeals to all humans, as the Lamb marks of the Spirit appeal to all who have His nature.  The love which is in the Truth always unites; want of it separates into all sorts of delusions.  Many may be called, but only the chosen, because they have His nature, can be His body.

My Dear Edwards & Co:,

Thanks for yours and many other good letters, which show that your labor is not in vain in the Lord, as all else will be vanity such as you see in Adam and Eve’s first experience in the Garden. Their deliverance and Salvation depended on hearing and obeying the voice of the Lord God as He walked in the Garden in the cool of the day, and this is the work you have been doing, for He needs a pair of feet and a voice which is His to say and do all He said and did in delivering them from their delusions and illusions – all of which He cursed – showing that as it was in the beginning so will it be in the time of the end.

The same Devil by the same Serpent seed has power to beguile the same human Nature with the same marks, and you can be sure the Devil and Satan, will be opposed to all He said and did in delivering them out of the snare of the Devil they were beguiled into. Serpent poison makes them die to God, -- as His voice and message obeyed makes them alive to God.

He removed them out of the reach of the Devil and the serpent, to be the means of doing to others what has been done for them. It must have been very humiliating for them to find all they had blessed and been so satisfied with, cursed, and you can see how small they would be in their own eyes, contrasted with the bigness which marked their first experience.

Revelation 13. 9-10 are worth reading, as it clearly indicates the methods of the Germans ad others, in their bringing the small Nations in Captivity, and the misuse of the sword in doing it. So we can be quite sure of the end of such.

If any man have an ear, let him hear, -- showing this comfort and hope is for such as have the spirit of Christ and so can hear and see the end of the great conflict as given in Revelation 13.

Danish and Norwegian opportunity fitted well into Allies’ hands for a first break and the stalemate in the West, and no doubt about their ability to use it to the full

My dear Dr. Cary Clem:

Thanks for yours. What you see in your mother is but what you read of in the Whole Book, from Cain & Abel up till today. All human attempts to read the Book & profess to believe make Cain of every man & Woman, who have ever lived on the Earth, and they all are offended even to persecution to the death, of any one who lets the Spirit of Christ & God come to dwell & work in them, making sheep of the True Shepherd as Abel was, so that God could accept his sacrifice & seal him with His Spirit.

Cain offered vegetable sacrifice & and this all that unregenerate people can offer because human worship & service is always essentially selfish and called Hypocrisy or human imitation as we find it outlined in Matt. 23 & this was the means of Killing Jesus & the apostles & prophets & the reason for the drowning of 80 million in Noah's day - while only 8 were saved who had the Lamb nature with ears to hear and eyes to see while the sons of God & fair daughters of men carried on their Religion till the flood came & took them all away. So shall it be in these days we live in & which the whole world today is being prepared for.

Jesus Mother & Brothers thot He was wrong in His mind & tried to take Him by force home to Nazareth after He was anointed of the Spirit. The Scribes & Pharisees said He was mad & had a Devil, why hear we Him. This was said of all the Prophets (True) by all the False Prophets of every age & their followers. Read Matt. X. See what Jesus said would happen in families as the result of the conflict which His nature would produce in them. The whole world is under Judgment. The whole Cain seed to perish to make room for Jesus & All who have His nature to come back to inherit the earth.

The meek are to inherit the Earth & your mother bears the marks.

My dear Edwards:

No letter from you yet; a few from others there; Australia and New Zealand regular.  From Feast of Ab on 13th of August to the 21st, the anniversary of England entering the war in 1914, Hitler got withheld in the air, showing England coming up fast, while USA and its ten horns are showing up well.  So we wait for the day of vengeance, which I expect will be marked by John's coming.

Revelation 22 gives very clear outline of the whole program now.  Verses 1-5 shows the New Thing to be wrought.  "These sayings are faithful and true, witnessed by His Angel the things which must shortly be done.  Behold I come quickly.  Blessed is he that keepeth the prophecy of this book."

Verses 8 & 9 seems to show us the meeting of the Two Witnesses.  Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.  Unjust, filthy, righteous, or holy will matter nothing, as He comes to reward every man according to his work shall be proof of his being Cain or Abel seed, tares or wheat, sheep or goats, foolish or wise virgins.

"I am Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End, First and Last.  Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the Tree of Life," shows that obedience is the only way to share what's in verses 1 to 6.  Outside, we have the 7-fold marks of disobedience.

Verses 16 , 17 & 19, reveal the 3-fold witness of Jesus (the Spirit, and Bride on the Earth) with God on the Throne and the Lamb, who has sent His Angel to testify these things.  There can be no Cain gate-crashing, and every man, by unregenerate disobedience, or regenerate obedience, makes sure reward possible.

Verse 11 shows profession means nothing.  Genesis 4 is worth careful reading. The Cain wrath and fallen countenance is sure proof, and how often we have seen it.  Abel's desire to his brother and Cain having dominion over Abel.  Verse 13, Cain says, "My iniquity is greater than can be forgiven."  Every verse of the 15 gives evidence of the Cain works, and Abel suffering, gives us the works which  mark the Lamb nature.

It's of some interest to see England and USA, the two Protestant nations, entrusted with the avenging days ahead.  I hope all are well and what we are seeing done on the Earth shows us the value and fullness of Psalm 91 and meets our needs as nothing else can.

My dear Edwards:

I have a letter from Jack Banton of La Habra which bears the mark of flattery and deceit, -- and maybe because he does not realize the great issue of life and death in dealing with the message of God and the Lamb, as it's so clearly revealed in Rev. 22.

If world events don't produce sincerity to God and Jesus, what else can do it?  Banton is the name of a village three miles east of Kilsyth, and it's the first time I have ever seen it as a man's name.  He asked me to give my reading of Esther and of Vashti, the Queen.  The whole book does not contain one reference to God or Jehovah--sure proof of the Godlessness of the people mentioned, from the highest to lowest in both men and women.  Esther's book gives us a clear picture of what proud and wicked means, and the marks they bear in any age, time, clime or nation, and it is very eloquent of world conditions as they are today--and as they were in Noah's day when God saw and said the only cure was Flood, to end the corrupters of His way and the violence everywhere manifest in His name.

Noah means "rest and comfort" -- rather a queer name for Noah, the witness and Son of Man of that day.  Ahasuerus means "mighty man"; Vashti means "beautiful"; both names suggest what feeds human pride most and produces wickedness.  Haman reminds us of Ham the cursed son of Noah; Mordecai means "worshipper of the power of Babylon" as in Jer. 50-2.  Esther means "a planet of Venus."  We hear all through history of women who got power by their beauty and selling themselves to the highest bidder.  We have stars today who shine very brightly.  Contrast the Marys of John's gospel with Esther-Venus.  Read Ruth's record, and contrast it with Esther, and you will see the Godly and Ungodly in contrast.  Then read Job and see the marks of honor which come from Satan to the man honored of God--and not to his four comforters and interpreters of his suffering, which but purified and made him white and tried, to add to his value and usefulness in coming days.

Can we expect resurrection for any of the people we read of in Esther?  We expect resurrection for Ruth and Job, but mighty flesh in man, or beauty flesh in women, and the power it brings them can only end in perishing as did the rich man in Luke 16.  Purim Feast should be a day of mourning to any Godly person.  It's difficult to see any difference between Haman and Mordecai.  What a contrast in New Testament between Esther and Jesus and His disciples, or Pilot, Herod and company.  My love to all and Jack Banton, wife and daughter.  Jesus the Carpenter is on the Throne by His Father's side as Judge.
