Basilio Alvarez (born in Spain, entered the Work in Argentina in 1924)
In 1920 he became acquainted with a brother worker,
Jack Jackson and learned English from him, and Jack
learned Spanish from Basilio.
Basillio went to Spain to preach in 1951 when some government reforms
permitted those of Spanish origin to enter Spain in the 1950s.
He was frequently abused fornot being a member
of the official state church (Roman Catholic).
