John Hardie and Ernie Larson ------

John Hardie (born May 2, 1871, died April 26, 1961)
and was buried in Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney, NSW. in Rattray, Perthshire,

He is on the 1905 Workers List and arrived in Australia in 1904. He helped pioneer
ictoria and New South Wales and was Overseer for 54 years until he died at age 89
. He was also the Senior Worker over all Australia until he died.

In March 1907, Hardie and Dick McClure traveled from New Zealand to Sydney, Australia,
and pioneered New South Wales, where Hardie was Overseer from the time
he arrived until he died, the longest held Australian oversight (54 years).


Dick McClure arrived in Australia in 1904.
he left the Work in 1913, married and had five children.
